Text from Pages 1 - 232 of the 1978 volume:

THE COLONEL’S DIARY As the river goes from a small stream out to the ocean, we move from high school out into the world. Although one of many, each drop in the cverchanging stream has its own particular path to travel, just as each of us will follow his indi- vidual road after graduation. We have chosen the river as our theme, with the hope that, like the river, we can advance undaunted, conquering all obstacles along our chosen paths, until our ultimate goals arc successfully reached. Published by the Annual Staff 1ND1ANOLA ACADEMY Indianola, Mississippi Table of Contents Dedication This year’s Colonel's Diary staff and sponsor dedicate the 1978 yearbook to Coach and Mrs. Buddy Walden. In the classroom and on the basketball court these two teachers promote scholarship, sportsmanship, and good will. Through their guidance, patience, and determination they have contributed much to Indianola Academy. For their dedication and loyalty as a teacher and a coach, we of the yearbook staff proudly dedicate the 1978 Colo- nel's Diary to Coach and Mrs. Walden — two truly outstanding people. 6 w , - FEATURESFEATURESFEATURESFEATURESFEATURES FEATURESFEATURESFEATURESFEATURESFEATURES FEATURESFEATURESFEATURESFEATURESFEATURES vj Mr. and Miss IA Friendliest Mary Gardner Allen Randy Tate Wittiest Cutest Johnny Labella Helen Trammell ft Jonesy Ely Beauties and Anna Ross Johnny Labella Laura Lee John Garrard Beaus Debbie Palmer Johnson Rice Linda Henley Dan Spencer Best Dressed Jim Robertson Isabel Hamilton 1977 Homecoming Court The 1978 Homecoming Court with their fathers as escorts and flower girl Lori McPhail and crown bearer Charlie McCorkle.
