While many of us went elsewhere for entertainment, a few of us dared to be different. Late during our sophomore year, a new group made its appear- ance on the Indianapolis scene. Put together from the best talent from around this great country of ours, the Kluver-Bucey Band arose to stardom! The name was so perfect — a little- known psychiatric disorder that drove its victims to derive sexual pleasure from inanimate objects! Who will ever forget the heart-stopping beat of drummer Rick Robertson, the titilating keyboards of Jamal Hakim, the melo- dious guitars of Ben Begley. Our class is filled with such charac- ters! There were few people in the Class of 1987 who found it difficult to have a good time. As we have said before, the night spots were always a good place to find members of the class. The Vogue was a frequented nightclub due to groups such as “Duke Tomato and his all-star frogs and “The Henry Lee Summer Band. Let js not forget the infamous Dr. Bop who performed at many of the school dances much to the dismay of the owners of the establishments (i.e. Mu- rat Shrine). Class parties like the Halloween par- ty were always big hits. The costumes were always unique and certainly never boring! The Christmas Dance was al- ways well-attended, especially by “Dr. Bop!
