Dorms Dorm living. Hardly an experience that ' s easy to put into words. Most of us have lived there and we ' ve all come to know its weaknesses and its strengths. When we lived in Elsch, Lawrence, Whilnivre, or W ' ahr, we could find plenty of reasoas to move out. EJccuses such as: we ' re not really on our own, and no drinking in the dorms, were just a few of the more popular ones. Now looking back on it — wasn ' t it kind of fim to sneak that half- keg into your room past the hall coun- selor on duty? Well, at least it was fim until you started the party and found out that it was the first time in years that the counselor decided to spend a quiet eve- ning at home in his room. Then, of course, there ' s the meal plan which every dorm- dweller is required to get. . or B — both of them guarantee an exquisite opportu- nity to experience the culinar ' delights of either Foster or Folger cafeteria. But of- ten, the cafe is the only place in town a person can go to eat six desserts at one sitting. Seriously, living in a residence hall can be one of the most rewarding of all college experiences. You can alwavs find a friend to talk with, study with, laugh with and even cry with if necessary. .■Vnd besides, where else could you find one or two other people crazy enough to go out and throw snowballs at three in the morning — whether it ' s snowing or not? 32
