Adrian Whilaker Ruland Adrian Whitaker Ruland was a very quiet man. His unassuming manner often concealed his dynamic other self which lay beneath the surface. His excel- lence of scholarship was revealed by the respect in which he was held by his students and colleagues alike. His tireless and patient devotion to duty made him an outstanding teacher of science. His exemplary family life made him a father and husband whom all students could emulate. The quiet manner in which he worked with others endeared him to all of his colleagues. His untimely passing is a matter of deep regret to both the students and faculty of the College alike.
