During the years l!)05-190fi, he was Professor of History and Mathematics at the Jlilitary Academy at Los Angeles. Cal. At Vale. Dr. Jack gained great destinction in athletics. Here he made a record for himself in high-.iumiiing. This training has been valuable, for as track coach he always turns out a victorious team, a credit to him and to Indiana. Dr. Jack ' s versatility, his broad-mindedness and his quiet, unaffected manner, have earned for him the respect and love of the boys over whom he presides. The male students of Indiana ai-e indeed fortunate in having as their Preceptor a man like William J. Jack.
