Construction chaos emerged as girls wielded hammers and saws. Alumnae returned to a growing campus strewn with ultra- modern exhibits depicting what was to come in the Twenty-first Century. To them, the campus had changed immensely in the years since they had left. They wondered at the partially-completed lo-story dormitories and took deep pride in the face-lifting of Memorial Stadium with the new Astroturf. They looked back at their college years and appreciated the work that had culminated in futuristic displays and floats. They had not been on campus for the preparation, the coronation, or the huge bonfire, but they met the queen and applauded Al Hirt at the first Sycamore Showcase. They caught up on progress at alumnae banquets andthe victorious game.
