WOMAN'S LEAGUE A year's activities of Woman's League is not complete without the Crystal Ball, which featured the orchestra of Hal McIntyre this year. Woman's League, composed of the sorority presidents and league oflicers, acted as mediator between the Terre Haute Jaycees and sororities for selecting candidates for the Midwest Tournament Queen. High on the agenda for the year was a survey of rush practices of fifty colleges and universities throughout the United States. INTER-FRATERNITY COUNCIL Inter-Fraternity is the organization which represents and governs social fraternities on campus. It is composed of the presidents and three other representatives from each fraternity. Mark Williams, dean of men, is the council's faculty adviser. The Inter-Fraternity Smoker is an event at which all men entering Indiana State are given an op- portunity to familiarize themselves with the college fraternities. The Squire's Ball, held in the spring quarter, is the outstanding social event sponsored by this group. The council works cooperatively with the college administration to promote better understanding and cooperation among all fraternities. 31
