PG 'WO 0,0539 OC: las l f Pi H 1 Qin-.4 li Last Page Lyric Such a school year of events as witnessed by old Ma Ho Hi. School started on September nineth-my, how the time did fly. At the first of school we had a show that wouldn't repeat for money, Sunshine pledges togged in rags and paint with dolls proved funny. Old Age Pensions for Our State was subject of a hot debate, Affirmative Seniors were hot that day, the Juniors came in late. The Seniors for annual staffj attended the high school press meet, They found the where, the way, the why to a year book that can't be beat. The teachers' Christmas party was like tomcats in a barrel, It started with a peanut fight and ended with a carol. To celebrate three straight net wins, the entire school adjourned, Captured old man Avon, on a funeral pyre he burned. There was a big watch party dance, it surely was a treat, But was complained that New Years brought in tired and aching feet. Our ball boys went hot in the sectional meet and had thoughts of the final fray But due to an error of scorer or bearer, they had vanquished foes to give way Mary Jacobs with The Constitution won the annual verbal fray. The Sunshine gave a weiner roast, we'll ne'er forget that dog-gone day. The Home High's flashy net squad made a record hard to sever, With sixteen wins and two defeats, turned in the best mark ever. The inter-class fthe first in yearsj was made a great success, The Juniors won without a doubt, they knew they would, I guess. Mr. Arthur Berault of great dramatic fame, Gave several plays before the school, too numerous to name. The baseball year, with several rookies, wasn't just the best one yet, But gave the men such thorough training that next year they're a sure bet. A poetry contest was fostered by English, offering prizes of money, John Turner spent first prize long ago, before he'd won-quite funny. The Seniors gave their class play on May the twenty-third, Then scheming Anne of Ann Arbor proved as honest as the word. Two essay contests fostered by the Franklin D. A. R.'s Were, the American Revolution and Governing this State of Ours. The Juniors proved delightful hosts to the Seniors-their reception, Though precedented by other such, for splendor waived exception. The Faculty to carry on such honors to its Senior class, Was host to these extinguished scholars, broke the Seniors' fast. Two tennis teams were organized, some speedy set to try, They played, for their opponents, the teams of Franklin High. Commencement came on June the fifth with pomp and preparation, Seven Seniors were the guests of a well attended graduation. School adjourned the following day, but I for next year's studies say, If you are far from the honor roll, work! show them you're no one's fool.
