Cade have progressed rapidly during the past school year. The depart- ment, composed of two classes, has twelve students. The first class composed of six students, are all beginners except Dorse Estle. The second class also has six, but only four of these are beginners, the advanced students being John Turner and Robert Miller. Each of the beginning students has completed a set of house plans this semester, the set being composed of four elevations, first floor plan, basement plan, roof and 'plot plan. Dorse Estle and John Turner have taken mechanical Details this semester, while Robert Miller is taking architectural drafting. HE PRINTING department, under the supervision of Harry O. Butler, is equipped to teach hand and machine composition and platen and cylinder press work. Yale R. Butler, linotype instructor, has charge of a battery of three machines and Clarence Davis, press room instructor, has charge of two Gordon 'platen presses, a Miehle cylinder and a Dexter folder. This shop prints the Indiana Frcemason, the official organ of the Grand Lodge of Indiana, which is issued monthly. Supplies are also furnished to the Blue Lodges of the state, Eastern Star Chapters and other Masonic bodies. The Scroll, the school paper, and the Ma-Ho-Hi, the year book are also printed in this shop. This department is just closing its seventh year under direction of these instructors. The boys who have graduated from this department are now hold- ing good positions in some of the best shops of the country. QGQDLNCW 'WO QC: Isa
