J. ' mme MOHOHI GDR! A 029, The Girls' Chorus l HE GIRLS' Chorus numbers sixty-four members this year, which is a few more than last year's chorus. Mr. W. P. McHenry, director, has had charge of the chorus since 1927. At Christmas time there is always a cantata and there is usually a Spring Frolic given in the spring, an entertainment made up of a miscellaneous program of singing, dancing, and vaudeville stunts, all of which ends with a grand chorus in which the entire chorus takes part. Two Contatas have been given this year, King Christmas and Feathertop, both of which were very successful. The membership of the chorus is as follows: First row, left to Tight! Q FE 9 PCB CD CBO: 'UC OC: IFE l The Girls' Orchestra HE INDIANA Masonic Home Girls, Orchestra was re-organized last year and has made splendid progress under the direction of Ben H. Thrams. While not strictly speaking a high school orchestra, the majority of its members are high school students. During the present school year the Home orchestra has traveled extensively having visited Trafalgar, Union, Scottish Rite Cathedral and Murat Temple of Indianapolis and many other neighboring cities. The membership of the orchestra is as follows: Director-Ben H. Thrams. Piano-Wilma Campbell. Violins-Freeda Terry, Irene Slavey, Mildred Carney, Mildred Pak- ard, Lavina Bruner, Virginia McCormack, Marie Scott, Velma Naylor, Merna Jacobs. Clarinets-Ruth Bradnick, Leanita Coleman. HE Commercial department is divided into five divisions, beginning typing and shorthand, advanced typing and shorthand, and book- keeping which are taught under the supervision of Miss Eva Keene. The typing classes have done a great deal of artistic work for Grand Lodge and Eastern Star days at the Home. Various contests have been held during the year to increase both the accuracy and speed in the shorthand and typing classes. The students are trained in every line of general office Work to prepare them for the work they will take up after leaving school.
