xl ' Q.E..C9 MNTlQl'7l 01' Q. JUNIOR CLASS OF '30 First row, left to right: Mrs. Miller, Sponsor, Wilma Campbell, Emma Naylor, Irene Slavey, Laura Duffy. Second row, left to right: Ralph French, Ruth Bradr1ick,'Ethel Fattig, Adeline Gaple, Ralph Pratt, Robert Miller. Third row, left to right: Robert Pierson, Paul Utterback, Hubert Mitchell, John Turner, Eugene Buchanan. HIS class has proved, so far, to be unusual. As Freshmen they were unusually green, as Sophomores, unusually sophisticated, as Juniors, unusually important , and, as Seniors, thank goodness we won't have to witness that phase of their high school career. One popular classmate and basket ball player, Donald Miller, deserted his unusual class for another city. Ted Kimener, also unusual, left for a more pleasant climate, Hot Springs, South Dakota. As officers for the year, the class elected Eugene Buchanan, President: Ralph French, Vice-President, Wilma Campbell, Secretary-Treasurer, and Mrs. J. A. H. Miller, Sponsor. Their class colors are white and gold, and their motto is Fit via vi. The Junior class has been very active this year, giving the Hallowe'en party, Junior-Senior Reception, and a play Billy's Aunt Jane, directed by Mrs. J. A. H. Miller, Sponsor.

J f N Q Pe o monocn o emi, SOPHOMORE CLASS OF '30 First row, left to right: Freeda Terry, Eunice Stone, Mary Mount, Miss Keene, Sponsor, Dorcas Mitchell, Hazel Jacobs. Second row, left to right: Hubert Griffy, Marjorie McClain, Edna Martin, Maxine Darrow, Marjorie Settle, Lois Ikerd. Third row, left to right: Dorse Estle, Archie VVest, Emerson Boyd, Halbert Price, Harold Kent. Fourth row, left to right: Robert Adams, Charles Guinnup, Charles Irvine, Edward Pruitt, Eldridge Hartman. ALKING about an outstanding class. The Sophomores sure have one, Anne Howe. This gang was admitted to the stately portals last year with 23 members. When June annexed their first year, two of their beloved colleagues departed. One being, James Chandler, an out- standing athlete of the class, and the other, Wanda Davis, who went to St. Louis. When school started again, they gained a class mate with large under- standing through the addition of Eldridge Hartman. Although there has been a few changes, the class still brags of its outstanding characteristics, a few being, Charles Irvine's tiny dancing feet, Archie West's giant stature and Edward Pruitt's snow white complexion. It is alleged that he has been indulg- ing in facials, but such a scandal has not yet been proved. The class has great hopes. They so far have made quite a glorious name for themselves, especially on the Honor Roll, having a large sum of 3, but they are planning to surprise the faculty on their final exams. We hope the surprise is favorable. C5 DP QQ 'WO QCA lea
