This Is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life w EME v M D mn u V D MR v ADMINISTRATION A thought from Tech ' s President As the 1973 graduate approaches the day of certifi- cation to a successful conclusion of his formal study, he should ask j ust what his four years at Indiana Tech have given him. Certainly, in part, the answer lies in comparing his accomplishments against his original goals, set as an entering freshman. This, you must do for yourself. Beyond this comparison the engineering student has learned to apply facts and principles, the scientist to establish the principles and generate new facts, and the student of the arts to relate these to the social structure to promote the betterment of man. These noteworthy accomplishments are, hopefully, mi- nimum achievements! But, if during your Tech years, you have come more fully to believe in the dignity of all men, to recognize that all men have equal human rights, and to act according to the conviction that truth, honesty, reliabi- lity and dependability are all the marks of mature men, then Tech has nurtured in you something of real value, something which will last forever. — Dr. Charles W.Terrell .SK3 Dr. Charles W.
