EENIU Your Graduation Means Goodbye . . . they danced to it, and it meant goodbye to 222 Seniors on june 3, 1958 . . . goodbye to the old halls and classrooms, goodbye to the work, the play, goodbye to everything but the memo- ries of a way of life. This Senior Class, born into a world torn apart by conflict, graduates into an era of promise if we strive for the right and do not divorce Cod from our lives. For those who dare to dream and work, the horizons of success are unlimited. The advances in technology . . . the ICBM's, thc Sputniks, aren't the whole picture . . . can mean a better world for us if we use our knowledge wisely. Only time can unveil the progress that will be made. On this Senior Class, the Class of 1958, rests a great responsibility. As they look back over and over again upon their graduation, they will say, It was a good vear, a good time to be alivef, 0 hand of thv cliligc-nt mukvth rich. So did a rainy but wonderful first Homecomingg All-County, Dis- trict, and State footballers, basketballers, and wrestlersg and homeroom champion volleyball teams. It is the aim of our sporting activities to provide opportunities for all students to com- pete at their own level. Thus Indiana Ioint High School has a varied intramural program as well as an extensive interscholastic schedule. These sports that represented IIHS brought everyone's school spirit to the surface, and the strains of our Alma Mater will long stir the emotions of the citizens of IIHS. These sports joined us together just as we enjoyed them together. 'N Ypkgxgxix. f ' -.- 1 2 l l 2 11 X,-1 1 r The hand of thc diligent shall bear rulv. Every student within the school has the opportunity to participate in almost any type of co-curricular activity in which he and others express an interest. This opportunity to engage in these ac- tivities stimulates the latent creative talents of the student, and provides real-life situations through which practical knowledge may be ac- quired. Each student decides for himself the extent to which he takes advantage of this compre- hensive program. While he is encouraged to make profitable use of this important side of his high school training, it is his own decision to participate as he wishes. Following is a resume of these musical, dramatic, service, skill, and government organi- zations. 2 lklfS09YL'l' thy hand finclvth to do it with thy n mifflmt.
