Dr. Perry is a member of Phi Delta Kappa honorary education fraternity, secretary of the Pennsylvania State Association of District Superin- tendents and editor of their publication, Super News, and a member ot the Governor's Advisory Council. The schools have become the chief in- strument for keeping this nation the fabled land of opportunity it started out to be. . .. and Indiana Joint High School is no excep- tion. Rarely is the library empty-here we find a typical study hall-with everyone hard l?l at work L'INDIEN LIKED THE QUIETNESS OF THE The library, center of much of the scholastic activity at Indiana Joint High School, serves the students as a place to study, read, or iust browse. Mrs. Margaret Derwart and the stu- dent Library Club act as supervisors, check books, keep the library clean and neat, and act as aides to students hunting information. Their work- room is one of the sections of the li- brary, the others are a study hall cen- ter, a reference room and a confer- ence room. The library also serves as a meeting place for the faculty and has even doubled as a stage for the Sendracs when needed. 9 Zihfary Librarian Mrs, Margaret Derwart supervises two Library Club members.
