Here are some that have been captured. They should linger long in the memories of those who experienced them. Above is shown the cast of the senior play, Tillie, a Mennonite Maid. The story is of Tillie, who lives among the Mennonites, a very strict sect, and who, when she takes up novel readin under the tutelage of the village schoolmaster, is put out of the church. The schoolmaster gets his walking papers, and the two elope. The cast, under the direction of Carroll Rupp and student directors, gave a legitimate stage performance. Stage Door Stage Door, the annual play given by the senior dramatic club, was directed by James Nix and student directors, Zureta Timber- lake, Dorothy Ensminger, Richard Orange, and James Penney. The play concerns the troubles and joys of Terry Randall. Like most small-town girls she had no luck finding a job. She gets a break though. Original characters and clever lines made it humorous and interesting. TILLIE. THE MENNONITE MAID Sitting: Russell. lloorliead Row 1: Mitchell, Porter, Moor berlzikc. With nine seniors gone from last year, the tear was greatly inexperienced. About sixty-five eager boys reported to nex head Coach Jay McWilliams for practice. For the most part the coache had to build up a new tearn, and for those who had some experience it wa hard because they had to become accustomed to the new system the nex coach brought with him. With minds alert and eager, the students come to school each day not only to learn to work and prepare themselves for life, but also to learn how to get along with people. During the seven periods each day, they ...75.. rw wwmmum meet new acquaintances and participate in many different activities.
