Foreword: 'Ml'-'y,,,...f 'w!MJ W. .,,,,. ,. ,,,,. ,,,,,,, fr ,AM It is with great satisfaction that the Polaris Staff presents this yearbook as a permanent and lasting record of memories of our first year at Indian Valley North. As a new school has been formed, also a new yearbook has been compiled. This book is a tribute to every new friendship formed by the consolidation. We have chosen Polaris as the name for our first yearbook. Polaris is the name given to our north star, in many respects the most important star in the heavens. Polaris is one of the most beautiful .and brightest stars in our galaxy. On a clear night, it has a blue-white glow and is easily recognized. For centuries pioneers and sailors have sighted by the north star. We feel that Indian Valley North High School is worthy of this proud symbol of guidance and leadership. We wish to thank the students, teachers, Mr. Scott, principal: Mr. Ronald, principalg the advertisers, Harmon Studio, and the Taylor Publishing Company for making this yearbook possible.
