The Iunior Varsity Football set an example for every other I.V. team in the area this year. Much hard work went into the practices they had and no one loafed around. Under the fine coaching of Mr. Gometz and Mr. Lassiter how could they go wrong? They had a right to be proud of their accomplishments. Go! Fight! Win! This was just one of the many chants of the I.V. cheer- leaders. The squad cheered the I.V. teams on through thick and thin. They attended the Golden Eagle Cheering Camp and came home with many ribbons and the most spirited cheerleader - Melanie Matthews. 88 I.V. Football

The Cross Country Track team went undefeated in regular season meets. They retained the champi- onship title for the second straight time. The team averaged about seven miles a day at practice and not a whimper was heard. Out- standing individuals for the year were Anthony Boyd, Ricky Amendt, and Percell Sykes.
