A , Those busy ladies who lightly touched the typewriter keys and pleasantly answered telephones while being called upon by stu- dents and faculty members were the efficient secretaries at Indian River. The secretaries always remained pleasant in spite of the multiplicity of duties they performed. Although sophomores were the only students required to take physical educa- tion, many options were offered to Iuniors and Seniors. Recreational courses that were offered included: Leisure Time Activities fping- pong, shuffle board, badmintonj, Advanced Tennis, Track and Field. In addition to their regular teaching responsibilities, the physical edu- cation teachers coached many of our sports.
