FACULTY Monday through Friday We dragged into our homerooms at 8:45 And rushed out of our sixth period classes When the 3:07 bell sounded The closing of school. Somewhere in between Something of importance went on. A teaoher's voice awakened us From our daydreams. If we took time to listen, The facts, figures, and theories Fell into place. l The faculty was then able to Help us find our dreams. Mr. Herbert A. Philips, Principal, encouraged everyone to have pride in Indian River and to make the school the best. His school spirit was always evident. Also he made the students feel important by chat- ting with them whenever he could and by listening to them when they had something to say. Mrs. Elizabeth B. Hanbury, Assis- tant Principal for instruction en- joyed her job counseling both stu- dents and teachers, as well as de- veloping a curriculum of studies that gave us a sound background for future endeavors.
