Seniors Dedicate The 1978 Sequoyah Last December, the Seniors voted to find the recipient for the dedica- tion of this year's annual. Many characteristics for this person were taken into account. This special person had to be someone we re- spected, someone who was willing to give much in time and energy, and someone who cares for her stu- dents. The one the Seniors chose possesses all these qualities and more. She is . . . Mrs. Carole Gib- son Smith. 4 Mrs. Smith teaches Drama I and II and 'directs all play productions here at Indian River. Her hard work has not only resulted in fine pro- ductions year after year, but all those who worked under her learned about the many aspects of theatre. Each student was exposed to tech- nical aspects- and various acting techniques. Mrs. Smith spent many hours before and after school either holding meetings with heads of crews, finalizing plans on all phases of the show, or working with members of the cast so they may reach their potential. Mrs. Smith's dedication and creativity have made her worthy of the respect of all. She has helped many realize and move toward making their dreams come true.
