In dedicating our book to Mrs. Dougall we could not have made a better or more fitting choice. After almost thirty years .. . nobody's got it more together than that lady! If ANYONE, from Principal on down, needs to known ANYTHING about how this school runs, Mary's the one to ask. Mary is much more than a secretary ... she keeps track of the high school budget ... she does daily attendance ... she maintains the separate accounts for all clubs and activities ... she does more things than we have room here to list. When you do so much, so well, it's easy to be taken for granted. All of us arc guilty of that where Mary's concerned. We hope, in some small way, this dedication demonstrates the appreciation we feel... but so often do not express. 2 BOARD OF EDUCATION E Stephen sntia ?ol James Kettnck William R R AlOM iPhont 642- 342V Tc The Class of 1987: It is with a great deal cf pleasure that I address the Class of 1987 in this edition of the yearbook. I am most impressed with your vigor, enthusiasm, well-defined objectives, and leadership skills. A successful magazine campaign provided the impetus to pursue the idea cf a three day senior trip to Toronto, Canada displaying the morale and spirit essential to a resourceful and creative class. It has been particularly rewarding for me to watch each of you grow from reticent Junior high school students into confident and mature seniors. Your contributions over the years are much appreciated and will long be remembered in the areas of academic excellence, vocational and occupation education, art, music, athletics, drama, and student government. I truly hope that your memories cf Indian River High School remain pleasant ones and that your future be filled with happiness and success. If I can help along the way, please feel free to call upon me. The main satisfactions of life come through hard work which one enjoys. Sincerely yours. E.
