Some of us knew this man of great stature and character as coach. There were those of us who called this constant companion of the young lack. Those dearest to him called him Dad. No matter what we called him —We all knew him as a bright symbol of Christian simplicity and concern for the young. Coach Williams never saw his work with the youth of our communities as an obstacle to overcome, but as his pleasurable priority. The content of his life, his every breath and his very existence depended on his faith in, and love for young people. For those of us who sought a man we could look up to and pattern our lives after —jack Williams was the man. His love and friendship were tempered with strength and gentleness. We pray that all the positive energy he expended in his life time, be trans- formed by Cod into a way in which together, we may soften the impact of the sorrow and suffering we share.
