Jndian Kiver Central School Philadelphia, MV- VolumeXJV dedication Mrs. Scozzafava, Mr. Coolidge The class of 75 proudly dedicates the 1975 Ojequack to Mrs. Marilyn Scozzafava and Mr. Clinton Coolidge. During our time at Indian River they have assisted us not only as teachers, but as friends, always willing to give a part of themselves when we needed them. Through their patience and diligence we, as individuals, have become better able to understand ourselves. 2 Jn Memoriam...... Mrs. Jean 0’Driscoll Our school has been struck deeply by the loss of two familiar faces. We recognize them for the services they ren- dered to both faculty and students. For many years, Mrs. O’Driscoll was a secretary in the District Office and Mrs. Rodgers was a member of the Homemaking Department. Their cooperation, dedication, loyalty and friendship will long be remembered by those who worked with them. They were an inspiration to us all. Mrs. Marion Kodgers Zwo Special People 3 Marty Dickson We're glad we knew him Now' it seems so hard to accept; Time will pass and the pain will remain But we'll be able to look back On the years we knew' him best. The basketball seasons he jumped and scored so high to bring triumph to the team and himself. We all had a chance to share. Smiling and laughing with his friends No one can take that away from us. It's hard to lose a friend someone we shared so much with; The happy times, the sad, the tough and trying moments will be forever in our memories. 4 bach of us has his own thoughts; What it all amounts to is we'll miss him. The time we knew him was so short. The years we grew together and shared We will all remember well. Remember though someday well meet again and the laughter and good times w ill come back once more. Until then his memory will remain Deep in each of our hearts. This year I have the pleasure and honour to say it was nte. I will take back to Australia many fond memories: memories of football games, the Rockathon, the Senior Play, the musical, and Graduation. But more than that I will always cherish the memories of the people with whom I came in contact, my wonderful American family, the Robbins, the many friends I made in all grades, Mr. Ken- ney. my advisor, my teachers, the people of the A.F.S. chapter, and the many people 1 met from all walks of life in the surrounding communities. To all these people I extend my heartfelt gratitude for making me a better person, and making my A.F.S. year unforgettable. To them I extend the sincere hope that I was able, in some way, to enrich their lives and enhance their knowl edge of another society and culture In my first address to the school I finished with these words and I think it is fitting that I leave them with you once'more. They are the words of the A.F.S. motto, the motto I tried to uphold throughout the year. Read them thoughtfully and I’m sure you’ll agree they ring true. alk together, talk together you peoples of the earth Rnt V it-. Yzi I Indian River Through A.F.S. I was able to stay in Australia for some ten weeks this past summer. To simply say that the time I had was bloody marvelous would be an understatement. I benefited from this experience both socially and mentally. I only wish that all of you could have gained as much as I did. Finally, if you ever want to know anything about A.F.S. or Australia, just ask. Thanks again for all of your support. Sincerely, Tim Maloy {Junior Play Working together .... learning and growing. Too many cooks............................................................. Best foot forward. 132 The Ego and the Id. You mean we waited until 10th grade for THIS! Your assignment for this weekend will be I’ve heard that excuse before! The next one that asks for a ride gets it! We never could see eye to eye. 133 134 nezceezjoNs... . Photo by Pob Popineau The most difficult journey of our lives is over. Each step was paved with the memories of special moments. Our Sophomore Carnival, where the unity and friendship of our class began. THE BOY WHO CHANGED THE WORLD, where a group of inexperienced kids worked together. DARK OF THE MOON, where we tried to prove to the world that, together, we could do anything. Among all these are scattered the football and basketball games, numerous parties, and long rap sessions by a group of friends who care more about each other than anything else in the world. It has been a long walk for each of us; we’ve stumbled many times through pain and sorrow which we’ve overcome-to- gether. Graduation night, after walking the halls of Indian River for the last time, we shall each turn down individual roads, searching for the goals we have set. Our futures unsure, the only certainty we have is that, through the years and miles that sepa- rate us, the Class of ’75 will never be divided. To all future classes that follow after us, we can only hope that the memories and friendships you develop will be as re- warding as those we take with us. . ............................ • • •• • ••..••. .
