Senior Class We reinber our first years at IRC, the way we shied away from each other and tended to stick to only a few of our well-known friends, the lightness with which we faced the thought of our future, the silly and futile arguments with friends who we thought were oddly different, the hard times we gave to the teachers who we didn t realize were really concerned about our futures, the way we shrugged off school activities and didn’t really feel a part of them because we were so young and were just the “squirts” of the high school. We remember all of these things but we haven’t allowed them to hold us back. And now that we have reached our final year in high school we remember much more meaningful things than those mentioned above. We remember the Junior and Senior Plays, the Magazine Drive, AFS musical, all the big sports games and so many other school activities. And what was so important about these activities that makes them so memorable? The importance lies in the way we all came to know and care about each other, as friends and as peo- ple. We came to realize our dependence upon one another for support in the things we undertook and encourage- ment in the goals that began to form in our minds for a life in the future. And we especially remember how all these events helped us to reach the point of maturity that makes it evident that we would miss each other when gradua- tion finally parts us and sends us on our own separate ways.
