EXCHANGE STUDENT JAMILE BARBIERI Who am I? My mother says I’m the one with her head in the clouds; my dad says I’m the one who needs help with politics; Maria Tereza, my twenty year old sister, says I’m the one who likes to see a cowboy show; Valeria, my 13 year old sister says I’m the one who yells the loudest at home, and C'intia, my two year old sister, doesn’t say anything! She just plays with me. I come from Andradina S.P., a city with 60,000 people, in Brazil. My dad manufactures coffee, and mom teaches school! Since August 19th I have been living with Mr. and Mrs. Kent West, in Theresa. Together we have shared many happy times, which I will always remember. These few months in the United States, especially at Indian River, have shown me many new and beautiful things. 1 never knew red leaves before, or snowflakes-but I like them very much! I shall never forget all the help and friendliness that Indian River has shown me. I would like to thank my family for all their love, my friends for all their smiles, and AES for letting me have this wonderful experience! Love, Jamile

DEDICATION MISS DONNA JACOBY MR. JOSEPH DURGIN We, the class of 1972, proudly dedicate this year’s Ojequack to Donna Jacoby and Joe Durgin. We will always remember what they have done for us and how each of them has added a little more to our lives. In the few years we have shared with them, they have led us—not only as our English teachers-but also as our advisors. The play casts, especially, realize this; as we all shared joy and sorrow through the hours of planning and production. Their reward has been the satisfaction in knowing that each of us has grown a little more because of them. This honor we offer to Donna Jacoby and Joe Durgin is in recognition of their hard work and understanding. We hope that in our own way, each of us has also added a little more to their lives. 3
