The Falconettes softball team finished the year with a record of three wins and six losses. The team came in third in state out of seven teams. Coach Salazar remarked that it he had more team members, the results would probably be better. I'd like twenty girls next year to stir up competition, he said. Team members were Lynette Ripperger, Rhonda Scott, Debbie Conrad, Dolly Zintz, Vicky Clark, Kim Adkins, Deon Ball, Kay Hubbs, Bev Smith and Deb Spurgeon. Lynette led in steals with eight this year. She was also voted to the All-Tournament team tor the tournament in Mason City. High batting averages were Lynette Ripperger, 5063 Rhonda Scott, 486: Debbie Conrad, 420: Dolly Zintz, 395, Vicky Clark, 390 and Kim Adkins, 367.
