BIG SISTERS Three balls tor a quarter, calls Clndy Sulllvan. What is a Big Brother? Well, this year a Big Brother is also a Big Sister. This was the first year that Big Sisters officially joined the Big Brothers program. After finding out that a Big Brother is also a Big Sister, we can go back to the question, What is a Big Brother or Sister? What does a Blg Brother or Slster stand for? Big stands for the big hearts that the Big Brothers and Sisters have. It stands for all the time that the Big Brothers give to their little brothers and sisters. The Brother or Slster stands for someone'that is there when the little brother or sister needs someone to turn to. Some of the activities the Big Brothers and Sisters held tor their little brothers and sisters were a wiener roast, a Halloween party, a Christmas party complete with Santa Claus, and a basketball game with the Big Brothers facing the KIOA High Hoopers. There were 40 Big Brothers and Sisters to help with the little brothers and sisters. Dolly Zintz was this year's president. Pete Salazar was the instructor-supervisor. This year's Big Brothers and Sisters were: Kim Adkins, Deon Ball, Vicky Clark, Nancy Coates, Debbie Colton, Rick Dissman, Dirk Eggleston, Rod English, Gil Gavronsky, Carole Sue Gile, Kim Hall, Louis Hanna, Tim Higbee, Ann Hood, Kay Hubbs, Steve Kaiser, Nan- cy Kauzlarich, Judy Laux, Mike Mclntire, John Mahoney, George Marshall, Lynette Ripperger, Larry Robertson, Ignacio Salazar, Mike Salisbury, Mark Sawyer, Rhonda Scott, Randy Skaggs, Beverly Smith, Bruce Smith, Ron Smith, David Warden, Dolly Zintz, James Strachan, Ron Sisneros, Russel Hoffman, Dora Crow, Eddie Stock, Denise Laux, Cindy Sullivan, Mrs. Warren Sullivan and Mr. Dick Gile. 25
