-,-Qi nn.- wic. .. RNAMEN1' Pictured above at the National Golf Tourney Mike Carney-Mike is a soph. from Centerville. His golfing abilities are well known in this area having been city champ three times. Over the past two years Mike has established an interesting record in that he has never been beaten in head to head competition by the man he was playing that particular day. Mike's average for this sea- son is 78. Jeff White-J eff is a freshman from Macomb, Ill. He is a two sport man at IHCC as he plays quarterback on the football team and holds down the number four position on the golf team. J effs aver- age for the season is 80. Mr. Bailey-1971 season saw his team 20-0, state champs and state medalist from IHCC. 1972 season stacked up at 15-0, state champs and state medalist from IHCC. Both years saw national competition. Not bad coach. John McQuary-John is a freshman from Centerville and a well known golfer in this area. John played in the number two position most of the season this year and at one time had a string of 71, 71 , and 73 in competition. His season average is 79. Ron Stewart-Ron is a soph. from Ottumwa who last year won state medalist honors in the Regional Tournament. This year Ron was voted the outstanding athlete at IHCC.Through some 35 matches for the two year period that Ron has represented IHCC he has established an amazing 74.3 average. Jim Campbell-J im is a freshman from Albia. Jim had problems early in the season with a golfers nemesis the shanksf' After overcom- ing this problem Jim started shooting the golf he is capable of and capped off the season by winning the state medalist championship. Jim is the long hitter of the Falcon squad and his overall season average is 81. Coach Bailey
