The Falcons were credited with a few upsets, including Ellsworth and Creston. They also accomplished something they had never done be- fore-playing two good games with Burlington, the conference champs, and losing both by only a few points. The Falcons also had their off nights, as Ft. Dodge proved to be the team that we couldn't come close to. Out- look for ,73 .... All but one are re- turning for next year, so advice to the opposing teams . . . Watch out! fabovel Bill Martin tossing it in. completed another great season winning the Conference and the Re- gional tourney! The conference crown makes it 4 in a row for Pat Daugherty's team. They also won their third regional title in four years. In the tournaments,the Falcons won 8 and lost 3, In the sub-regional at Clarinda, the Falcons beat Clarinda, Creston, and Grand View to advance to the the regionals. In the regionals the Falcons lost to Ellsworth 3-2, in the first game. Then they came back by trouncing Clinton 20-1 in the losers' brack- et, then beating Ellsworth and Fort Dodge twice to win the tournament. At the Midwest regional at Iowa City, the Falcons met stiff competition, and were defeated by St. Clair of Port Huron, Mich. The Falcons came back in the losers' bracket by beating Anoka-Ramsey, Minn. The last game for the Falcons was against Lincoln, Ill., the Illinoi team beat the Falcons 3-2. . .-
