Culture Shakespeare, Poe, Bryant, Browning; nouns, verbs, adjectives. If any of this doesn ' t sound familiar, someone has been sleeping through English class. The de¬ partment has a staff of six teachers: Mrs. Ditmars, Miss Vilet, Mrs. Stafford, and this year it has added three new teachers: Miss Weaver, Miss Beckman, and Mrs. Haase. Language at 1C is geared not only for college-bound students but also for those students who are interested in learning languages and cultures other than our own. 1C expands the language arts pro¬ gram offering Latin, Spanish, and French to its students. Mrs. Stafford tries to explain the structure of the French language to Paula.

The World of Math Business Mrs. Swearingen shows Bobby his grades. A new arrival in the Business Dept, this year is Mrs. Spilker. The Business classes took trips to the Indiana National bank and to a court trial. There are no new teachers in math, but for those who haven ' t taken it the math is new and incidentally it ' s also hard. Connie Weddle and Cathy Hicks in 1-Lab. Mr. McNeely, famous storyteller.
