The American flag flies proudly above our new school. The ”before and after” view of our school Students from three different schools waited a long time for a new school, one in which those three schools would be bound together. It was a long time coming but in the school year 1967-1968 it became a reality. Even though this school was not fully completed by the beginning of the school year, school did start on schedule. The students and faculty overcame many handicaps successfully to make the best of the first year. Lockers, lockers, where are the lockers?

The Year of Firsts” Our first year was a very important, “trend¬ setting” year. Everything we did was done for the first time, beginning what is now history. Tradi¬ tions we started may be expected to last for years to come. Tim Magoon and Dave Roller present Mr. Ray with the first trophy won for Indian Creek by the Cross Country team. Fans cheer the Braves on to their very first victory against Eminence. 5

One open locker and no students in sight, but when the bell rings — look out! With it’s steel frame still visible, the school was on it’s way to completion and use in the coming year. 7
