Although she is retiring this year, she will long be remembered for all she has given. We, the students and the entire hospital personnel, wish to express our sincere admiration and honor to you, Miss Copeland. 3 'C Carolyn Jones fSen1orj and Mrldred Ishlkawa Uunrorj were pleased to pre sent last year s Sanrlog to our most rllustrrous cmzen, Presrdent of these Unrted States Harry S Truman It IS an occasron Carolyn and Mrldred wrll never for get The Presldent was most gracrous rn recervmg our token of recognrtron in 1 n 1 0 . 1 . Q----ii-, rep B, .SLP fjogefief It has been said that the thousand mile journey begins with the first step, so it is with nurses' training. But we have the advantage of not trave- ling alone, for we have the companionship of each other, our parents, our teachers, our supervisors, the nursing staff, the entire hospital personnel, our town parents, and other members of the community. Walking together in a common fellowship towards a single goal has brought us close to one another and also to our Master Companion. As He said 'Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me . With this thought in mind we would strive to become better nurses so that we might better serve our fellowrnen and walk step by step together in Zion's fellowship. 5 lep gg, Sfep jogeder wif pk t 1 f P wt , Q, F Q .J JU .J 'U Y Mr : -.lf an gui ing vmuur .vnungxz-wq.,.f-x'f.,v.,.Y .:,. ,. Grant all Thy choicest blessings On gifts we give to Thee. We offer faith and knowledge In every act and deed, While giving loving service To fill each patient's need. . Dear God of peace and comfort, Accept a trusting smile When we with weary bodies Must go the second mi1e . Thou wonderful Creator Of every living breath Inspire our acts with wisdom When we stand awed with death.
