Have a Problem? Peer Counselors can help. They are students at IJHS who volunteer their time to learn skills which help them to help other students with problems. Training includes many group activities and skill building. They spend about 30 hours learning skills for good listening and learning how to help without giving advice. Application is made in the spring or early fall. Gffice Helpers Office Helpers The Office Helpers take messages, books, lunches, etc., to students and teachers for the office staff. They help to locate students, place materials into teacher mailboxes, and alphabetize attendance cards.
