Dean Neil Edds is the able administrator responsible for the smooth functioning of ICJC Under the leadership of Dean Edds, Independence Community junior College has been approved for accreditation by the North Central Associa- tion of Secondary Schools and Colleges for another four years. This col- lege is one of the fourjunior colleges in Kansas recognized by NCA. Progress is the keynote at the college. This year has seen revision in existing courses to meet studentis needs. New courses including Spanish and Arc and Gas Welding have been added. English is offered on three instructional levels to allow for students with different degrees of profi- ciency. Accounting is offered on two levels, and there are special programs in science and history. 2
