Typrcal of other mature students here, he serves as scoutrnaster and president of his childrens PTA in Neodesha ff -J 'Y' rs Each class day The Voice of Your Collegew takes the air over KIND, the local radio station. News concerning students, faculty, and events, both academic and extracur- ricular, is broadcast by those students enrolled in Radio Production. All phases of broadcasting are studied and experienced in the control room and studios on campus. Experience as engineers, program producers, directors, and announcers is a part of the training each student receives. Debate, study of the theatre, play production, oral inter- pretation as well as speech are other courses offered in the speech area. English composition and literature are offered on both freshman and sophomore levels. Printing techniques are taught in one of the most modern of the plants found in any junior college. This year a new offset press was added to bring the equipment up to date. A large flat hed press is used to print the newspapers while stationery, offiee forms, and other publications are printed either on the two offsets or the automatic' eylinder press. Students are given practical experience in all phases of printing.
