Boyd Talley and Kenneth Wilson are always ready and willing to listen and give a word of advice and encouragement. Besides personal advice, vocational guidance is available. Helping students apply for scholarships and other awards is a part of the depart- ment duties. The counselors work for the advancement of the students at all times. Aptitudes and interest tests are given to enable counselors to understand each person individually and guide him into a field where his strong points and inter- ests will enable him to excel. Good Counseling Makes Transfer to Other Schools Easier College entrance requirements are taken into consideration when the stu- dents are making plans to transfer to another school. The counselor and stu- dent set up a schedule of classes which will transfer to the best advan- tage in his particular field.
