When we left they soon began annoylng a man dr1v1ng a truck rushlng to a nerghborrng clarm we found the frerce Fuhnncm s1sters Pat and Agnes tryrng to Jump Pat Nerlson s clarm They had succeeded rn chasrng Pat up a tree and were pelt1ng her w1th buckshot Not wantlng to get mlxed up 1n any dangerous srtuatrons we began fol low1ng a s1gn that sald Frllmore Rabblt Stables Entermg a Iona shed we found hundreds of cages of huge whtte rabbrts Helen Dewey Flllmore emerged from a Slde room and rushed to greet us She showed us around the stables and expla1ned to us that she was feedmg her rabbtts gold ore so that they would lay golden Easter eggs We were a b1t doubtful at f1rst but Helen showed us a basket full of them and we left thoroughly conv1nced The day we dectded to leave we sold our old Jallopy and bought a duoplane whlch was an arrplane and car bu1lt together As we left the huge Independence Natlonal Arrport we nottced someone who had a famrlrar walk lt was Mcxncxn Butch Iackson who was now a Janltor rn the garage she scrubbed the planes We departed reluctantly after v1s1t1ng wrth Manan and were off for home We had our radlo on and recogmzed the vo1ce of an announcer who was none other than Betty Stepctnek. She was now operatlng a radro statton 1n Independence and had to do all the announclng s1ng1ng etc by herself because she changed the program from 3 m1nutes of advert1s1ng 1n every 15 m1nutes to l2 mmutes of advert1s1ng m every 15 m1nutes Thrs was because every one was so concerted that they wanted to spend therr money advert1s1ng themselves The brg gest advertlser was Peggy Cates who pa1d S5 OOO cr mlnute for 5 m1nutes of advert1s1ng whrch was to be g1ven every hour Here IS the advertrsement as we heard rt then Lonely?
