Silence fell over the crowd as they awaited to hear who was chosen to reign as Queen for l948. Pat Puhrman was then crowned Homecoming Queen for '48 at the traditional Homecoming dance by lim Hersey, captain ot the football team. Her crown was of yellow and black feathers and she was also presented with a silver necklace as a remembrance ot the occasion. The queen and her attendants, Phyllis Weber, Shirley Black, and Donna Lou Munson, were present- ed with white carnation corsages by tour members of the football team in a very impressive ceref mony.
