H. S., While it is played and practiced after hours, is by no means an easy course. In a tough season the Maroons took all the bumps in the road, but coaches predict better times ahead. When, on Ianuary l5, Coach Eddie Anderson of the University of Iowa came to Independence High School to speak at the Father-Son Legion party and award large white I's to the football players, he was to find that more underclassmen had turned out, and more of them had gained football experience this year than at any other time in the school's recent history. Tiffany, Clue, Holder, Hovey, L.
