FACULTY POEM Our teachers all have certain ways. To tell us what they mean. It may be just a casual glance Or even a smile serene. Than Miss Stolt a better friend Would be hard to find. Even tho she rarely scolds We know wehhave to mind. Now several always smile Even when they mean to scold. But oh, the looks that Miss White gives Are really more than cold. Mr. Ferree's look, sometimes severe Is pleasent after all, Unless we're awful, awful bad And then he makes a call. Miss Smith's dicipline sharp . Is meant good-naturedlyg She knows just how we ought to act, But our faults we cannot see. When, Miss Draper her anger shows, She colors to her hair. When Mr. Haney is displeased A deep. frown shows his care. Miss Carney's glance isnquite enough She does not need to speak. And Mr. Farris scolds sometimes CU And keeps us for a week. A clever little lady is . Miss Mather, we will own, . 1923 Her winning smile, Her pleasing way, to everybody shown. With dignity and measured step With voice most formal and slow, Miss Ward is sure to keep track of us, It makes no difference where we go. Miss Wolin seems considerate Of boys and girls alike. She has a smile for all occasions, Be they gloomy ones or bright. Mr. Gray's in all that's going, Always nice to ladies fair, His inventive power in printing Can't be beaten anywhere. Miss Ogline must have sometimesufeared, By voice she'd bc forsaken For it, as well as she, Is as quiet as they make 'em. Miss Swedlund loves her music And can sing a tune so true, When she is very, very busy She's happy thru and thru, Our Superintendent, Mr Roberts, Is full of virtue, but, oh dear! To write of him in this small space Would be a task, I fear. When our Miss Gaffin's out of sorts She speaks words loud and pert. I've told of all, as best I could I hope no one feels hurt.
