HfltHE 10 the tradition of trimming the Christmas tree in the mall . . . rest in peace, lowly trojan . . . break, the time for socializing, eating ice cream, wishing someone a haDDV birthday, or just fooling around. whether it ' s a track meet, a football game, pep rally, or basketball game, it ' s always fun . . . the lettergirls march in all of the half-time shows at the football games. garbage cans filled up with papers . . . basketball warm-ups . . . marching in the thanksgiving parade . . . color guard . . . the time finally comes when the seniors get their class rings. 15 sophomores support the basketball team ... a junior class holds a nixon rally . . . there ' s a traffic jam in the parking lot leaving the homecoming game. freezing winds at football games. . . cheers of happiness, a touchdown, victory happiness is being a senior and leaving for lunch 5 minutes before the underclassmen. studying . . . teachers, students . . . en route to class . . . welcome to the big i , all new students, and returning students to independence. •r if you want to be alone to think, just take a walk down the nature trail i.c.c. president, cleans up the mall after turn-about day. 5 the girls in mixed chorus practice in the mall during their class period ... a member of order of the patriot, fixes another locker. . . civitan members put student into the kangaroo court. - the choir performs at the Christmas assembly . . . j.v. H 1 35 the cheerleaders from the class of ' 68 joined the class of ' 69 to cheer at the homecoming game against Olympic, the homecoming court, made up of senior girls, surrounds beth kaba the new miss patriot of 1969 . the junior miss contestants practice their dance to everything ' s coming up roses. gail garland is given her junior miss 1969 ribbon and a trophy, for her talent, gail composed a modern jazz routine to the record born free. martha logan, first run¬ ner up, twirled to wade in the water. senior members of the key club performed for the banquet . . . randy beaumont sing . . . hal and wayne practice . . . steak . . . shrimp cocktail . . . salad . . . bread . . . drinks. H student life . . .
