55.5, if ..,,. , Liberty Manor's position as the premier villa can be attributed to the hard work put forth by our administration, secretarial staff, teachers, and, of course our dedicated students. We are, without a doubt, the best and getting better! - Robert Black Liberty Manor is my villa and l'm very proud of the villa and all of our students. Our staff is the friendliest and warmest group of people l've ever met. Staff and students are just wonderful people, no doubt because we enjoy the excellent leadership of our principal, Mrs. Dawson. - Ms. Anne Carter The students of Liberty Manor are an outstanding group to work with. They are bright, eager, and possess a good sense of humor. They are involved in all aspects of Inde- pendence and have contributed much to make this one of the best high schools in the valley. - Mr. Locisoro Liberty Manor has the friendli- est, most cooperative group of teachers, counselors, students, and staff members. From our good looking principal, Barbara Dawson, to our friendly custo- dian, Jose Nunes, everyone works together and individually to make Liberty Manor a good place to work. Barbara Dawson Villa Principal We are ver proud of our villa, Liberty Nflanor, which was named in honor of the Statue of Libert . We, the staff, believe tliat our students should feel free to think for themselves, develop their cre- ative abilities, and make choices concernin their careers. Because of she needs of the students and the philoso- phies of Liberty Manor s staff, emphasis is Kplaced on the six R s - Rea ing, 'riting, 'Rith- metic, Responsibility, Research, and Relevance. Our guidance and counseling program provides opportuni- ties for our students to make their own decisions and choices regarding their futures. They are made aware of educational requirements, available finan- cial assistance, scholarships, etc. and are encouraged to take the appropriate courses of study. We feel that the consolidation from five villas into three was very beneficial, we have more student involvement in Liberty Manor's activities and more teachers in each department - some making use of the tradi- tional approach and others making use of new approaches to education.
