Brown It was a Rags to Riches ear for the I.H.S. Frosh!Soph Football team. The first three games were a ainst Junior Varsity Teams and the Sixers came out on the short end of the score in each contest. There was, however, never a let-down in team spirit and from week to week there was vast improvement. When the Sixers entered competition at their own Frosh! Soph level, lessons that had been learned in the first three games paid off. The went on to post a 4-2-1 overall recordy and a 3-1-1 record in the M.H.A.L.-North division, good for second place. Leading the Sixer offense which aver- aged 17 points in league play were: Quarterback Dave McCue, Running Backs Dana McCullouch, Todd S6lSKl, and Mike Crum, and receiver Terry Thomas. The mainstays of the offen- sive line were Rich DeVera, Mike Cruz, Kyle Garcia, Cornell Brown and John McCullouch, The Stalwarts of the Sixer's Doom's Day defense which allowed an aver- age of only seven points a game in league play were: Linebackers Crum, Garcia, Charles Sherill, Joe Glenn and Dana McCullouch, and Linemen Brown, Cruz and John McCullouch. Leading the defensive secondary were Marvin East, Scott Planer and Cedric Bronner. The inspired and ever improving Iplay of this year's squad can mean not ing but greater success for both Varsity and Frosh! Soph Teams next year!!! 132 GIEECCDSS CGCDEUEHFTEEY This ea.r's Cross-Country team was lied by Danny Hernandez and Mike Green. Dann took second in lea ue, fifth in Region 3, second in C.C.S. and seventh in NOR CAL. Dann was also voted to first team all NOR CAL. Danny also received the MVP Award. Mike Green took third in league, tenth in Region 3 and received the Most Improved Runner Award.
