TETLEMETEZMNT CLUB The Italian Club is deciated to learning about the Italian language and culture. The club is open to anyone who is inter- ested. A facu ty luncheon which included Italian dishes and customs was s onsored by the club this year. They feel tlleir club has alot to offer and hope to have more members next year. D C03 lil! E SS Q2 LU B Representing I.H.S. in the East Side Chess League, the 76ers Chess Team and club competes against seven other high schools. Meeting every lunchtime, as many as twelve games may be going at one time. Improving skills, competing and having a good time are the goals of t e activity. Now in third place in the lea ue with a 2- 1-1 record, the 76ers have agead scored victories over Andrew Hill and, Silver Creek, with a tie against a very tough James Lick. ' A D r G LEU E The Bilingual Club is made ufp of Spanish speaking students, most who ave come to America from foreign countries. These students are learning to speak English. They support and help each other. S.T.A.R.S. GLU This was the first ear for the S.T.A.R.S. Club iScientific, Technologi- cal, Astronomica Researchers Societ J. The club was started for students wllo have an interest in biological, physical or astronomical sciences. We went on several field trips during the year. They included trips to NASA and Lawrence Hall of Science. 1 CLUBS
