CLOSING With the closing of the 1977-1978 school year, we can look forward to an even better year next year. Jerry Brosnan dedicated his life to leading his students in the discovery of the power of literature. These words, taken from William Faulkner's Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech in 1950, perhaps best exemplify not only Jerry's convictions regarding the potential of his students, but also the spirit and essence of literature that he strove to reveal to his stu- dents: . . .
