Jerry Brosnan dedicated his life to leading his students in the discovery of the power of literature. These words, taken from William Faulkner's Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech in 1950, perhaps best exemplify not only Jerry's convictions regarding the potential of his students, but also the spirit and essence of literature that he strove to reveal to his stu- dents: . . .
