SOCCER Our Varsity boys Soccer Team won the first championship of the schools' history as we defeated Mt. Pleasant High Schoo for the M.H.A.L. crown. We are blessed with many fine athletes. The heart and soul of our team this year has been the following young men: Sar McHenery, Keith Martin, Joe Falcao, Cele Montezuma, Ray Salinas, Dominic Rancadore, Mark Serna, Frank Vandenbrar dhornge, Don Yamashita, Craig Choate, Mike Lovelace and eleven other fine reserve players that made our team the leagu Champs! We finished the season with an over all record of 15 victories and only one defeat. ln our sixteen games we scored 82 goal: while our opponents scored only eleven. For the first time we were invited to play in the Cardinal Cup, sponsored by Mt Pleasant High School. We came home with a First Place Honor by defeating last year's C.C.S. Champions Leigh High Schoc by the score of 2-1. Great Year CHAMPS!!! Tournament These achievements were accomplished with quality wrestlers not quantity. Also the self-determination and pride in each individ ual pressed them forward. The two outstanding wrestlers are Mark Macias, 95 lbs and heavy weight Fred King, both of whom are Seniors. These two fine athletes made it to the State Meet held in San Diego!! Congratula tions!
