'Qt is I i. ii COMMAND CHAPLAIN j USS INCHON sponsored a dynamic and comprehensive Command Religious Program tailored to meet the faith needs ot it's crew and embarked units. Regularly scheduled offerings included: scriptural and topical study groupsg formal religious instruction and educationg opportunities for musical expressiong support system for personnel in recoveryg and a wide variety ot worship options. Ot particular note, was the oversight of a pilot literacy program, United Through Readingm, which encouraged Dads to read to their children impressing upon them the value and joy of reading! During port visits, the Religious Ministry Team coordinated numerous Community Relations Projects. These allorded sailors and marines an opportunity to move out into the local community and place their time and talents in the service of others less fortunate. Each proved the dictum, that it is more blessed to give than to receive . For the INCHON Religious Ministry Team, this cruise has been the ultimate adventure. Always ready to serve was our motto, and always we were blessed! 23
