Again r Easter the high school and their ster school came together to share ve and j oy. Freshman Orientation, eacherfStudent Appreciation ays, and I.W. Day with free ice- eam were events just as impor- nt as semi-formal on Ianuary 10. Le Soir Enchante was held at Shrine Temple, despite reconstruction problems on , The Blood Drive on March 5 once again promoted the school spirit theme and helped others as well. The Texas Bloodbank was thankful for the numerous pints collected. Daily responsibilities, seldom considered as important, were ef- fectively carried out by this group's efficiency: announcements over the intercom every morning and after- noon, cafeteria watch mods 4, 8, 9, 10, 8: 11, monthly, timed fire drills, putting up and taking down the flag outside, and bulletin board decorations. They even run the class and Student Council elections and installations at the end of every year. . . . without his Sang 4A The executive officers open the year with their pink and white matching at- tire. A On Halloween Shannon Sweeney fleftj meets Shannon Sweeney QMrs. Kautzj AP Semi-formal provides a great time for Christi Anciola and Christopher Baird to get a little closer. The Peanuts Gang, otherwise known as the Student Council of- ficers, worked dutifully to keep the entire school continuously inform- ed, interested, and involved. Shan- non Sweeney, President, Norma Ayala, Vice-president, Yvonne Queralt, Secretary, Marcela Trevino, Treasurerp and Gina Meza, Historian, with Mrs. Kautz and Mrs. Schmidtzinsky as their moderators, used Promote School Spirit as their all-year theme. That was exactly what they did. Barely a month went by without at least one major event occurring under their efficient organization. The Tuesday after school meeting was the normal time to get everyone together to discuss plans, programs, future events and activities.

Reaching for Tomorrow Champions The Champions Club began three years ago as the Right to Life Club with Sr Beatrice as their moderator It is the only high school organization of its kind in San Antonio Today we are cham pions of life liberty and peace Life focuses on the addictive abuses of drugs and alcohol in our teenage society We support the just Say No program and educate ourselves on reasons behind drugs. . Liberty centers on the rights of an unbornrchild. This is the pro-life part of our club. We participateiin events such as the Memorial Ralley which observes the day that the Supreme Court legalized abortion in 1973. . To find peace throughout the world is what we strive for. Guest speakers, films, and reports help us to know more about what we can do. . t C S Iennifer Kaskie Ambition, dedication, and the desire to excel are all characteristics of the members of Campus Ministry, National Honor Society, Breakthrough Club, and Cham- pions Club. They are not afraid to reach out in order to secure a positive future for themselves and others. Campus Ministry's purpose is to keep alive the Christian and com- munal unity. From daily prayer to masses and retreats this organiza- tion enhanced spiritual growth EH 4A Loralei Craighead strikes a final pose before seniors head for home from Camp TECABOCA. A Made-up Mr. Evola poses with Terry Smith and Ellena Parsons at within the student body. National Honor Socie Members work to keep up high grades, organize Cat. Schools' Week and present the nual honors assembly. Breakthrough Club members to help others less fortunate themselves. Their major and profitable project was New Y New York! , the annual show. The hard earned profits donated to the Incarnate sisters of Chibote in Peru. Freshmen Retreat. P NHS members, Nicol Rendon and Andrea Kelly await customei at the festival.
