1716 Annua! ffaff ,ofesenfs Aybhybfs of 1.957-IH56' This Volume of 'The Star is com- pletely new from cover to cover. This does not imply that this is the best year- book ever. It's merely different and we hope you'l1 like it. All who have work- ed on this annual have derived a great deal of satisfaction in the production of it. Serious consideration was given to the selection of a theme. In this as in all other aspects of the book, time will tell in what we have failed. Meanwhile we present it to you, students and friends, trusting you will find our attempts to portray every phase of school life here both inter- esting and rewarding. Above: Iaycie Ingersoll and Carolyn Sue Glass seem relaxed and pleased. Iustly so. It's only October and as yet they have no idea of the mountains of work ahead. Lett: Ellen Luedemann, Sandi Ioseph and Car- men Novoa crop one of hundreds of pictures for annual. Put it up against the light and you won't cut their ears or give them crew cuts . warns a voice from somewhere. Gigi Clancy, Marci Ducote and Sandra Mc- Lellan lall in for more than their share of work- ing on layouts. They happen to be boarders and are within calling distance of the press room. Gigi comes from Falfurrias, Marci from San Angelo and Sandra from Venezuela. Much of their work was done before they visited their homes for the Christmas vacation.
